We’re looking for a Director of IT who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both strategic insight and hands-on execution. This key role, reporting directly to our CFO, will own the design, security, and evolution of Naviant’s internal technology infrastructure across cloud, compliance, and internal and external stakeholder communications.

Performance Objectives – What You Will Accomplish:

First 30 Days: Getting Grounded
  • Understand Naviant’s business model, organizational structure, regulatory compliance requirements, and IT strategy.
  • Build strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders across departments.
  • Assess the current O365, Azure, and AWS environments to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate team structure, workflows, and areas for growth or support.
Within 60 Days: Taking Ownership
  • Step in as a player-coach, leading initiatives while mentoring team members.
  • Implement and refine best practices across cloud infrastructure for performance and security.
  • Create a clear, prioritized framework for managing IT projects and competing business needs.
  • Offer hands-on solutions for any urgent issues related to hardware, systems, or operations.
  • Support SOC 2 assessments and readiness efforts in partnership with compliance stakeholders.
At 90 Days and Beyond: Driving Impact
  • Launch a strategic roadmap for the continual evolution of our IT infrastructure.
  • Optimize infrastructure for security, performance, and scalability while maintaining a focus on cost optimization.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership by translating strategic goals into practical execution.
  • Establish your presence as a key internal partner capable of scaling with the business.
Competencies – Key Skills & Experience We're Looking For:
 
  • Cloud Infrastructure & Zero-Trust Security
    Leads secure deployment and management of Microsoft 365, Azure, AD & Entra ID, Intune, and AWS. Applies zero-trust architecture across hybrid environments for scalability and protection.
     
  • Cybersecurity Compliance & Risk Management
    Ensures compliance with HIPAA, NIST, CMMC, and related frameworks. Directs audits, incident response, security certifications, and policy enforcement as Naviant’s Security Officer.
     
  • IT Operations & Vendor Management
    Manages internal IT systems, cloud platforms, and vendor partnerships. Collaborates with leadership to align IT priorities, budgets, and governance with business goals.
     
  • Automation, Scripting & Technical Execution
    Implements scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) to drive efficiency. Identifies and applies emerging technologies that enhance infrastructure and support customer needs.
     
  • Fast-Paced, Mid-Market Experience
    Thrives in dynamic, mid-sized organizations, ideally in a high-growth or transformation environment, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution across teams and priorities.
